My Journey in Real Estate
 
I started my career in 1992 at SunTrust Bank in the mortgage department. Over the next 24 years, I worked my way through various roles—from receptionist to mortgage loan processor, construction manager, and ultimately a mortgage loan officer. My experience in financing, new construction, and customer service has given me a unique, well-rounded perspective on the buying and selling process.
 
Falling in Love with Sanibel
 
My connection to Sanibel started in the early '90s when my husband, Mark, introduced me to the island. We fell in love with its charm, and in 2012, we purchased our first home here. We split our time between here and Chattanooga until 2016, when we made the move to Sanibel full-time. That’s when I began my real estate career with Pfeifer Realty Group. Now, I live in Shell Harbor, enjoying boating, biking, beach walks with our dog Coco, and the island’s breathtaking natural beauty.

Community Involvement and Service
 
I’m proud to serve my community here on the islands. As a board member of the Sanibel Captiva Association of Realtors and a participant in several local committees, I’ve helped organize fundraising events, beach cleanups, and water quality awareness efforts. In 2020, I was honored to receive the “Community Service Award” from the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors for my contributions.

Kelly was wonderful! I had so many questions about purchasing a condo on Sanibel Island because I live in Connecticut and didn’t know how to contact the appropriate people in Florida for inspections, Mortgage application, etc. Kelly put me in touch with the appropriate relevant people, and ran interference for me with them when there were questions or issues. Working with her made the process so much smoother and easier and I would recommend her highly to anyone! Kelly is amazing. She was an excellent representative for us in the purchase of our condo in Ft. Myers. She was tenacious with the seller’s representative who was difficult to get a response from. She was so very professional, congenial and willing to go above and beyond to handle things for us since we were making our purchase from out of State.
